PSP2

With very few exceptions, I don't like using my PSP for emulators. There are better systems for that. I keep an Atari 800 emulator on there for a few games that I love, a SNES emulator because I haven't convinced myself to get rid of it... and that's it. If I need to emulate the Genesis or Sega CD, I do it on my computer, or better yet, play on the actual hardware. Same with SNES. I never used my MSX emulator, and the Game Gear one sucked. The Atari one is just too convenient; I don't keep the Atari set up in my room, and it's pain to pull out and reassemble. Not to mention a lot less wear and tear on those floppy disks.

Obviously, a computer is better for emulation, but a PSP is much more convienent than a laptop plus a controller on a plane or train or something.

The PSP was pretty successful for a non-nintendo handheld. I expect the PSP2 to at least match that. I'm personally worried that with all its power it'll end up with mostly console style games that would be better on a console.

Agreed. Ports might be interesting anyway, without the second analog triggers (maybe they'll use the back touch pad?), but if there aren't unique games on the system that I want, then I'm not going to pick it up. Shooters are not the games I want to play either, but I expect well see a fair number of them.

I would like one, but the only games that are out right now that I want are remakes, and I can't afford the system. I shall have to wait.
